Why You Should Visit Lulworth Castle
Lulworth Castle is an early 17th-century hunting lodge, originally built to attract James I to hunt in the Isle of Purbeck.
In 1929 the castle was gutted by fire and years later it was restored. Today the castle is a country house set in beautiful parkland, and it is open to the public.
There is a fee to enter Lulworth Castle.
Just a few miles away from Lulworth Castle is the Village of Lulworth. The village has numerous bed & breakfasts, guest houses and hotels that can accommodate you. There are several thatched-roof B&B's available on a nightly or weekly basis. Reservations are advised especially during the summer months. Accommodation can also be found in the nearby towns of Bournemouth and Poole.
